We use the Makita RT0701C Compact Router for all prototyping and demonstration work in the FLUSHTEK shop. It's perfect for template work as it's small profile makes it easy to maneuver without getting caught on clamps. The variable spindle speed is also incredibly valuable, as it allows you to tune the cut to the material, reducing vibration, noise, and bit wear. For use with the FLUSHTEK System, we always recommend using the dust extraction attachment.
